Membership Requirements

1.1 Minimum Token Requirement

To become a member of the Cathedral Foundation DAO, individuals or businesses must hold a minimum of 300,000 CATH tokens in a verifiable wallet. The tokens are essential for participation in DAO governance and represent voting rights within the DAO’s structure.

  • Token Verification: Upon application, the prospective member must provide proof of token ownership by linking their wallet to the DAO’s membership platform.

1.2 KYC (Know Your Customer) Procedure with Civic Pass

To ensure compliance with international regulations and prevent illicit activity within the DAO, all prospective members must complete a Know Your Customer (KYC) procedure using Civic Pass integration. Civic Pass allows for fast, secure, and verified identity checks, streamlining the KYC process and ensuring smooth membership onboarding.

  • KYC Documentation: Applicants must submit valid identification documents, such as a passport, national ID, or driver’s license, through Civic Pass.

  • KYC Verification Process: Civic Pass enables quick authorization by leveraging automated identity checks. The process is secure, and data is handled in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to ensure privacy and data security.

1.3 Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Policy

In addition to KYC, the Cathedral Foundation DAO implements a strict AML (Anti-Money Laundering) policy. By integrating advanced AML monitoring tools, the DAO ensures that all financial transactions and activities are compliant with international regulations and are monitored for potential illicit activities.

  • AML Monitoring: The DAO uses monitoring tools to track transaction flows and flag suspicious activities, ensuring that all members and transactions meet compliance standards.

1.4 Acceptance of Governance and Constitution

Prospective members are required to read and agree to the Cathedral Foundation DAO Governance Protocol and the DAO Constitution before admission. These documents govern the operations, decision-making processes, and ethical guidelines of the DAO.

  • Governance Protocol: Prospective members must familiarize themselves with the DAO’s proposal submission flow, voting processes, and responsibilities as members.

  • DAO Constitution: The Constitution outlines the mission, values, and operational principles of the DAO. All members are bound by its contents and are expected to adhere to the governance structure it outlines.

1.5 Types of Membership

The Cathedral Foundation DAO offers two types of membership:

  1. Individual Membership: Available to individuals holding the required 300,000 CATH tokens. This membership allows full participation in governance and decision-making processes.

  2. Business Membership: Available to organizations or businesses holding the required 300,000 CATH tokens. This membership allows entities to participate in governance and propose initiatives relevant to the DAO’s mission.
